5 swoon worthy things: Kendra Smoot
There’s a whole lot of skill involved in transforming ordinary scenes into something super dreamy. This is the work of crazy-talented stylist Kendra Smoot, whose impressive roster of clients includes the likes of Real Simple, Bon Appetit and Kinfolk, among many others. Whether for brands or in Instagram photos of her home life (take a look — so much sweetness), Kendra never fails to make us wish we were right in the middle of her swoony settings.
I first met Kendra when she styled a shoot I was featured in for Lucky Magazine. I was immediately smitten! Kendra was also the inspiration for our very first indigo-dying DIY awhile back. More recently, we were both featured in the spring Anthropologie catalog, Kendra in styling my home once again, plus sharing entryway-beautifying tips, and myself in spilling entertaining secrets. I figured now is a great time to tap the former New Yorker and current San Francisco Bay Area resident on the items she’s currently coveting for her home. Below, see what the enviably-coiffed design pro picked and learn more about the her cozy-cool approach to styling.
