Urban Outdoor Living

Outdoor Terrance Half Bleed
TERRACE SWOONING

So the time has FINALLY come – spring has sprung and with that comes the excitement of time spend on my terrace. Nothing fills me with more swoony joy than evenings spent lounging outdoors with the sound of grasses in the wind in sharp contrast to the cityscape beyond.  To further offset the urban city I chose to infuse my outdoor living space with a rustic repurposed pallet table and ethnic textiles like african mud cloth and indigo elements.  A Moroccan Azilal tribal rug – in a bold bright color and geometric pattern – is the anchor to the space and helps achieve a cozy vibe as I grill and dine under both stars and strung lighting draped above. As always my design sensibility is a mix of high and low which i’ve made shop-able in this weeks #ROOMSWOON

  1. String Lighting  – They just make everything to twinkly!

  2. Moroccan Rug – I have collected Moroccan rugs for years now and have an intense love for how they transform any space – indoors or out.  This very Azilal tribe rug with vibrant tones of pink and turquoise, I am selling along with a few others in my collection!

  3. West elm rigid stone planter – This planter mirrors the concrete texture on my exterior terrace wall.

  4. West Elm outdoor cushions  & modular seating – My outdoor seating was built to fit these standard West Elm cushions which was FAR less costly as compared to custom cushions.

  5. Indigo ethnic textile – Anthropologie – I am mildly addicted to all things indigo – both the hue and pattern infuses that ethnic flair I swoon.

  6. Pallet Table  – I am a sucker for anything repurposed and these industrial pallet tables offer that utilitarian function as it unites with my love of reclaimed design perfectly.

  7. White Mud cloth pillow – Just so swoony in their distinctly African tribal markings in black and white.  I purchased a pile of vintage textiles on a recent Africa trip!
