Nordic-Inspired Accent: Cozy Sheepskin

There’s been a steady influx of Nordic influence in the world of interior design, and it’s certainly hit us hard at EyeSwoon. As steadfast fans of restrained palettes and impactful yet pared-down decor, it’s no surprise the aesthetic completely resonates with us. Of course, using minimal color necessitates adding depth to a room in other ways. And as these Nordic-style spaces demonstrate, a super-cozy way to do so is with sheepskin. Ahead, swoony inspiration for incorporating the accent at home!

Instant reading nook! In looks via C-More and Ikea, a sheepskin is thrown over a low storage unit or bench to transform it into a cozy banquette. It’s an incredibly simple trick, and so inviting.

Very first image: In Entrance Makleri, a sheepskin chair and rug make for luxurious touches in an already-elegant room.

No need for separate seat cushions when you have sheepskin in images via Coco Lapine Design, Apartment 34 and The Guardian. It’s so soft for sitting and visually adds tons of texture to the room, too.

In The Design Chaser and Elizabeth Heier, sheepskins are cleverly (and beautifully) strewn on the bed or sofa in lieu of throws.
