The Oscar's

Best Dressed

When it comes to fashion and food, I can’t help myself— I love them both. In my swoony world, food can be as equally transformative as clothes. Sometimes fashion, especially in the case of this year’s Oscars, is good enough to eat. With my foodie scope, I took a look at some of my favorite gowns that hit Sunday night’s red carpet and matched them with a delicious counterpart.  This was just too much fun to put together – I hope to make your eye’s swoon on this one!  xx /athena

Emma Stone was my favorite gown of the night!  The vibrant chartreuse Elie Saab haute couture dress immediately reminded me of Romanesco Cauliflower.  Local Haven offers a swoon-worthy romanesco focused green curry recipe that perfectly pairs with this young ingenue’s Oscar choice!

Jennifer Lopez’s caramel colored confection of a dress was simply magnificent!  These mouth watering Chai spiced glazed donuts created by Denise Renee of Food lovin’ seem that have designed their look in union with Elie Saab.

Julianne Moore is just too chic for words. But place this Oscar winner is Chanel and she emits pure elegance – absolutely perfection!  The subtle band of black beading minimally strewn throughout the gown is reminiscent of a decadently layered vanilla and chocolate delight.  This cookies and creme cheesecake found on The Tom Kat Studio creates a winning pair!

The crimson colored Armani gown that Behati Prinsloo wore so gracefully recalled the natural beauty of cherries when viewed through my foodie scope. As I perused Pinterest seeking red stained foods I stumbled upon this beautiful image of cherries still clinging to their stem.

French woman are just impossibly chic with their understated elegance!  Marion Cotillard’s Christian Dior Haute Couture Oscar gown was a risky choice that in my opinion was as perfect as a delicate white French macaroon!

Gwyneth Paltrow knows what works on her body, and what a body it is!  Pretty in pink at the Oscars once again, showing us how it is done while supporting young designer Ralph & Russo. I have been swooning the photography of Andrea Gentl for years now and her Chive Blossom Vinegar took my breath away.  Flower power to these ladies!

Naomi Watts has been killing it this award season! With the help of stylist Jeananne Williams she was once again radiant at the Oscars in this breathtaking Armani gown.  The scale like beadwork in silver and black offered the same tones as the scales of a fish – sardines to be precise!

Hop on over to Harpers Bazaar.com to swoon some more!
