Incense Burner Brass
Sydney-based designer, Henry Wilson, creates iconic and unfettered home offerings in warm brass, inspired by the raw natural landscape of Australia. His use of architectural form and organic movement channels a laid-back vocabulary and singular sophistication.
Initially designed for Perfumer H., The Incense Burner is sand cast in solid bronze and finished by hand. Incense ash collects neatly and discretely within the base of the burner allowing tendrils of smoke to festoon beautifully and seamlessly from the midnight metallic form.
Each casting is manufactured in small batches. A natural material, brass will oxidize with time, transitioning from a bright finish to a darker, distinctive patina. Slight variations will occur from piece to piece. To restore a like-new luster, simply apply a light coat of polish.
