Topography Gen II
*Made to order, kindly allow a lead time of approximately 4-6 weeks from order date.
Wood sculpture artist Chandler McLellan lives and works in Wyoming. A trained carpenter and cabinet maker with a background in archaeology, his sculptural woodworks in walnut and painted maple exist outside of time — referencing a reverence for ruins and architectural artifacts through a figural, modern lens. His futuristic forms emphasize the appeal of natural matter, carved into expressive, sometimes industrial shapes. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair, Elle Decor, Grazia, New York Post, HypeBeast, RUM, Ark Journal and more. Topography Gen 2 is a gestural work created with multiple pieces of hard maple mounted on a walnut base. Available in Limited Editions out of 8. Its wave-like silhouette channels the dichotomy of masculine and feminine energies through a cascading dialogue of movement and stillness.

About the Artist
Chandler McClellan
A carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, Chandler McClellan looks to the wild landscapes of his surrounding Wyoming for inspiration when crafting his sculptural woodwork in walnut and painted maple. Modern architecture and science fiction fuel his futuristic forms with a nod to past artifacts and ruins thanks to a degree in archeology. But regardless of the passage of time, his objects inspire stories, interpretation, and imagination.
