Sydney-based designer, Henry Wilson, creates iconic and unfettered home offerings in natural materials inspired by the raw landscape of Australia. His use of architectural form and organic silhouettes channels a laid back vocabulary and singular sophistication. Hewn from dual pieces of solid Calacatta Viola Marble, The Pillar Lamp is equal parts architectural accent and ethereal lighting accessory. The lamp itself emanates a warm, atmospheric glow, with subtle illumination passing through an opaque stone shade to reveal the natural veining and supple texture of its organic materiality. Please note as the lamp is composed of solid natural stone, the weight is substantial and heavy, requiring both care in transport and a sturdy surface for display. Slight variations in pattern and color will occur from piece to piece. Each iteration is made by special order only.

About the Artist
Studio Henry Wilson
Australian designer, Henry Wilson’s interest in the “awkward beauty that comes from something made by hand” informs the direction of his furniture, lighting, accessories, and components collection. While form and function are evident, there is a definite emotive connection, a feeling that is conveyed in the work that sets him apart. “I like to explore how imperfection can be introduced into an industrial process, to make something at scale that retains a sense of individual charm.”
