During this past year and a half our homes have most certainly become playgrounds for self-expression, and although uncertainty remains, one lesson we can take away is that we are better when we are together; together in design, together in craft, and together at home.

“Better Together” is something I think about often. It’s safe to say, the people you choose to surround yourself with, continually raise you up and bring connectivity and meaning to life. The same can be said for design. It’s all about the dialogue and the connectivity of the pieces you bring into a space and how they seamlessly come together to tell your story. I love to explore the unspoken beauty and complexities of our relationships visually.

This return of togetherness has me excited to host my family this holiday season and I recently redesigned the bedrooms in my Amagansett home to be a comfy and cosy respite.

“My motto has always been “simple ideas, thoughtfully executed” across all that I do. I feel this ethos aligns with the timelessness EQ3 is built upon, too. Beautiful design and classic pieces that stand the test of time and are developed thoughtfully with sustainability in mind.”

A tonal and luxuriously soft underfoot rug was my starting point. I was also smitten by the clean lines of the EQ3 upholstered bed frame and the perfectly nubby texture and tone of the boucle. I am consistently drawn to a calming neutral palette in the bedroom so the armchair and marble floor lamp followed suit and offered the serene environment I chose to create. We all know I love to bring something alive into the home through a cut branch. This is a great trick to add verticality and color to a space — you really want your eye to dance around a room.
