New York-born and Los Angeles-based sculpture artist Kassandra Thatcher creates hand-built sculptural works that explore the interplay of natural light, space, movement, and organic form. Her textural, ceramic lighting pieces channel a singular vocabulary of refined stillness and evocative expression. The Ma Sconce Collection takes its name from Thatcher’s ritual of collecting beach stones from walks along the coastline with her mother. Ma Sconce No. 1 is available on EyeSwoon in an exclusive cream colorway. This sculptural ceramic sconce with soft, matte finish holds a striking silhouette reminiscent of shell and bone. Its mounted form casts an alluring harmony of subtle, cast shadow and warm, emanating glow.

An intrigue into spatial awareness lit the fuse for sculptor and designer, Kassandra Thatcher’s sculptural objects.
